February 7 2005
The two big items in the news this week are the Presidentâs state of the union speech and the Super Bowl.
In as much as most of our members are American patriots, this weekâs message will focus on the Super Bowl.
In the case of the Super Bowl, there will be a whole team of Patriots involved. Philadelphia, home of the Eagles football team, is where our founding fathers got together and produced this nation of ours along with the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States of America.
You donât find those kind of guys hanging around Washington, D.C. these days.
Washington is all about "spin", coercion, and power for powerâs sake. Power for the already powerful.
Jacksonville, Florida is going to be about performance, and faithfully representing the folks back home.
Accept for someone referred to as "T.O.", who is apparently representing God. One wouldnât have thought that God would have needed representation at the Super Bowl, what with all the other venues available to Him. But maybe he was looking for a better price than what the network is charging for an ad. Anyway, "T.O." humbly accepted the assignment.
What a guy. God never had it so good.
Thus far there has not been a map published showing the distribution of green "Eagle states" and red, white and blue "Patriot" states, but the "smart money" is saying Patriots buy seven.
The pundits here at MG&GC headquarters are split between those who think it will be a straight "toss up", or "even money", and those who think that "T.O." having been chosen by God to represent Himself, may signal that a greater power is involved on the side of the Eagles.
Whatever. No matter how you look at it, the best place to put your money is KPFT 90.1 FM. Itâs a win-win situation. No gambling involved.
Support KPFT and you support Larry Winter and the "Spare Change" show. And just in case youâre a little undecided, itâs been rumored that "T.O." supports KPFT. And you know what that means.
Till next week
