Well gang, graffiti, as we all know, is getting completely out of hand.
Even though some of it approaches fine art, and some of the statements are sheer poetry and express inspiring philosophies or slogans, like "beer before breakfast…death before dishonor", it must be admitted that it can be a nuisance.
A case in point is an individual who is signing his work " The Bengal Tagger"
His primary target seems to be the SPCA. His favorite slogans are "I love animals, they are delicious", and another, made popular by Ted Nugent, ‘The cuter the animal, the sweeter the meat".
The veracity of these statements is obvious, but never the less, the folks at the SPCA are complaining bitterly that having these sentiments sprayed on their buildings and vehicles in day-glo paint, some how puts their activities in a some what less than favorable light.
Pretty thin skinned for an outfit that euthanizes enough animals in America each year to satisfy the protein requirements of a small country.
Euthanize, isn’t that a euphemism?
These people that prevent cruelty to animals, they kill them, right?
Right.
And why?
Because pet owners relinquish their responsibility for their pets, that’s why. And then they complain about feral animals roaming around their neighborhood, and the SPCA just hasen’t got the resources to handle all those animals, well, humanely, as it were.
So, it all boils down to bad pet owners putting their responsibility on their neighbor’s shoulders.
Sort of like bad parents. Right?
Right.
Support your SPCA.
Etc.
Till next week
