Well gang, as most of you know, Randall Diggs is a member of our club who is in the mortician business.
It seems that he threw his back out this week and his nephew, a football player at Texas A&M, volunteered to handle dealing with the bereaved since Randall couldn’t get out of bed.
Randall explained how sensitive the business was, and not to try and charge them for a whole lot of extras because he wanted the family’s repeat business. Should the occasion arise.
"Got it." Said "Bubba". That very same day, a man who had just died was delivered to the mortuary wearing an expensive, expertly tailored black suit. "Bubba" now a mortician, asked the deceased’s wife how she would like the body dressed. He pointed out that the man looked very good in the suit that he was already wearing. Trying to be economical you see.
The widow said that she always thought that her husband looked his best in blue. She gave "Bubba" a blank check and said "I don’t care what it costs, but please have my husband in a blue suit for the viewing."
The woman returned the next day for the viewing. To her delight she found her husband dressed in a gorgeous blue suit with a subtle chalk stripe; the suit fit him absolutely perfectly. She said to "Bubba", "What ever the cost, I’m very satisfied. You did an excellent job and I’m very grateful. How much did you spend?"
To her astonishment, "Bubba" presented her with her blank check from the previous day. "There’s no charge." He said.
"No, really, I must pay you for the cost of that exquisite blue suit!" she said.
"Honestly, ma’am," said "Bubba", it didn’t cost me a thing. You see, a deceased gentleman of about your husband’s size was brought in shortly after you left yesterday, and he was wearing an attractive blue suit. Well, I asked his misses if she minded him going to his grave wearing a black suit instead, and she said it made no difference as long as he looked nice."
With a slightly worried look on her face, the woman said "So?"
"So", said "Bubba", I just switched heads."
You gotta hope that "Bubba" is a good football player.

Till next week
